The Golden Eaglets have qualified for the semifinals of the U-17 WAFU B Championship after defeating Togo 3-0 at the University of Ghana Stadium, Legon.

The game, initially scheduled for Wednesday, May 22, was postponed to Thursday morning due to a heavy downpour in Accra.

The Eaglets dominated from the start, and their efforts paid off in the 11th minute when Abdulmuiz Adeleke gave Nigeria the lead with an assist from Abdulmuiz Oladimeji.

Rapha Adams doubled Nigeria's lead in the 35th minute with a sublime header following a fine cross from Simon Cletus.

The Eaglets entered the break with a two-goal advantage after a commanding display in the first half.

Coach Manu Garba’s team continued their impressive performance in the second half, with Adeleke scoring again in the 68th minute to secure a comprehensive victory for Nigeria.

The Golden Eaglets will now face Ivory Coast in the semifinals.
