Barcelona wonderkid Lamin Yamal has named Liverpool as the favorite team to win this season's UEFA Champions League ahead of Barca.

The 17-year-old disclosed this in his latest interview with Spanish outlet Mundo Deportivo.

Liverpool were the only club to finish the UCL league format ahead of the Catalans, with 21 points after recording seven wins and one loss.

The Blaugranas managed 18 points after recording five wins, a draw, and a defeat to finish behind Arne Slot's side.

The 2024 Euros winner is confident in his side's ability to challenge for the UCL title this season after missing out for a decade now.

“I think that only Liverpool are more favorites than us in the Champions League… as they arrived first,” Yamal told MD.

“We can compete to win it. We can be there.”
