Chelsea boss Enzo Maresca has stated that the club will only make signings based on its own terms.
Victor Osimhen's potential move to Stamford Bridge collapsed on transfer deadline day after the Blues pulled out of the race due to the player's wage demands.
According to Football Italia, the transfer failed due to disagreement over personal terms.
The Blues reportedly offered €4 million in guaranteed wages, plus €2million in performance-related bonuses and an additional €2m if the team qualified for the Champions League.
Osimhen, who currently earns over €10 million per season at Napoli, declined the offer.
Speaking after Chelsea's 1-1 draw against Crystal Palace in the Premier League, Maresca highlighted that the club will sign a player if the conditions are good.
"We want players, but we want players on our terms. If the conditions aren't right for us, then the players won't come," he stated.
When asked of the possibility of reconsidering the signing of Victor Osimhen in January, the former Leicester City gaffer said:
"We'll see. Between now and January, we'll play many games. But as I've said before, I prefer to focus on the present. We'll see what happens in January."
