The 2024/2025 UEFA Champions League campaign kicked off on Tuesday, September 17 with six matches.

Top European clubs including Real Madrid, Liverpool, Bayern Munich and Juventus all recorded wins in their opening matches.

Liverpool travelled to the San Siro to beat AC Milan 3-1 in the biggest clash of the night.

Current title holders Real Madrid began their title defense campaign with a 3-1 victory against Bundesliga outfit Stuttgart at the Santiago Bernabeu.

Six-time winners Bayern Munich hammered Dinamo Zagreb 9-2 at the Allianz Arena, as Juventus also recorded a convincing 3-1 victory over PSV Eindhoven.

Sporting Lisbon and Unai Emery's Aston Villa also recorded wins.
