The round of 16 of this season's UEFA Champions League fixtures will kick off today (Tuesday, March 4) with four mouthwatering matches.
Some of the elite clubs in Europe, including Real Madrid, Arsenal, Borussia Dortmund, and Atletico Madrid, will all be in action later tonight as the first-leg fixtures take place this week.
A total of 16 teams will be competing for a place in the quarterfinals as the clubs that secured automatic qualification from the league phase square off against the other remaining eight who qualified through the playoffs.
In Tuesday's fixtures, defending champions Real Madrid will host their city rivals Atletico Madrid in the crucial Madrid derby at the Santiago Bernabeu.
Belgian Jupiler League outfit Club Brugge will also host Premier League side Aston Villa at the Jan Breydel Stadion.
Eredivisie side PSV Eindhoven will welcome Mikel Arteta's Arsenal side to the Philips Stadion.
Borussia Dortmund will host Ligue 1 outfit Lille at the Signal Iduna Park.
