Orlando Pirates have entered the fray to secure the services of Super Eagles goalkeeper Stanley Nwabali from Chippa United.

The South African club is actively seeking a reliable goalkeeper following the departures of Richard Ofori and Siyabonga Mpontshane.

Nwabali, 28, has emerged as a prime target for Pirates, who face competition from another Premier Soccer League (PSL) side, Kaizer Chiefs.

Beyond South Africa, Nwabali has garnered interest from clubs in the Saudi Pro League and across Europe, with Queens Park Rangers among those tracking his progress.

Nwabali gained prominence after an impressive showing at the African Cup of Nations in Cote d'Ivoire, where he notably kept four clean sheets, a first for a Nigerian goalkeeper.

This performance helped him secure the starting position for the Super Eagles, displacing Francis Uzoho.

Last season with Chippa United, Nwabali kept 12 clean sheets, enhancing his reputation further. The club is open to letting him go if they receive a suitable offer.
