Nigerian international Raphael Onyedika has emerged as one of the most wanted players in Europe.
According to The Telegraph, the young Super Eagles midfielder has attracted interest from some of the elite clubs in European football.
The credible UK publication is reporting that European giants, including the likes of AC Milan, Bayern Munich, and Paris Saint-Germain, are interested in the services of the Super Eagles star.
Other top European clubs keeping a close eye on the Club Brugge midfielder include Borussia Dortmund and FC Porto.
This interest is evident that Onyedika's remarkable performance has not gone unnoticed.
“City have been looking at defensive midfielders following Rodri’s long-term injury and now they face Onyedika, 23, who has excelled in that position and has heavyweights from the biggest leagues chasing his signature. Bayern Munich, Borussia Dortmund, Porto, and AC Milan have made enquiries,” The Telegraph wrote ahead of Club Brugge’s Champions League clash against Manchester City on Wednesday.
“Paris St-Germain have also been watching Onyedika as they consider bolstering the midfield. He overran City last week at the Parc des Princes. Onyedika’s stats are comparable to those of PSG’s João Neves, who was highlighted by Uefa’s technical report for his performance in the 4-2 win.
“Neves has averaged 10.9 kilometres per match in the Champions League this season, while Onyedika has clocked 10.5km. Onyedika’s passing accuracy has been 90.34 per cent throughout the competition.”
Onyedika was brilliant in Club Brugge's crucial UEFA Champions League clash against Manchester City on Wednesday, January 29.
The 23-year-old gave his side the lead on the stroke of half-time before Man City staged a comeback to win the game 3-1.
