Nigerian international Nathan Tella scored the only goal as Bundesliga title holders Bayer Leverkusen eliminated Bayern Munich from the DFB Pokal on Tuesday, December 3.
Tella came off the bench in the 61st minute to head home the winning goal eight minutes later at the Allianz Arena.
The 25-year-old has seen limited game time this season mostly coming on as a substitute for Xabi Alonso's side.
The one-cap Super Eagles star however expressed frustration for his lack of game time.
“I’ll be honest, it’s been a really frustrating start to the season…but I can’t argue with the coach [Xabi Alonso],” Tella said after the game.
“He knows what’s best for the team.”
