A former coach of the Super Eagles of Nigeria, Jose Peseiro, has failed to win his second game in charge of Zamalek of Egypt.
Peseiro was appointed as Zamalek head coach in February after leading the Super Eagles to a second place in the 2024 African Cup of Nations in Ivory Coast.
He replaced sacked Christian Gross, and signied a one-and-a-half-year contract with the Egyptian side.
His second game with the club ended 1-1 draw against Al Ahly, leaving Zamalek with 27 points in third place in the Egyptian league.
The club now trail leaders Pyramids by three points and arch-rivals Al Ahly by two points.
In a post match briefing, he said,“I think Ahly were better in the first half but without clear scoring chances, apart from the shot that hit the crossbar."
“The draw is a fair result between the two sides,” he added.
