Manchester United have reportedly emerged as frontrunners in the race to sign the in-form Victor Osimhen this summer.
The Red Devils are working around the clock to bring in a top striker to bolster their attacking options ahead of next season.
With the end of the season in sight, Osimhen has emerged as one of the top options on Manchester United's wanted list.
According to reports, Napoli are willing to offer Manchester United a discounted fee on Osimhen's release clause, which is currently pegged at €75 million.
The Daily Express also reports that Napoli's sporting director Giovanni Manna was in London recently, where he met Manchester United's representatives to hold talks.
Despite interest from Juventus, Napoli are unwilling to offload Osimhen to a direct Serie A rival, making Old Trafford a likely destination for the Nigerian.
Manna also held talks with Chelsea, but reports indicate that the Blues are now prioritizing a summer move for Ipswich Town's Liam Delap.
Currently on loan at Galatasaray, the 26-year-old has been in prolific goal-scoring form since completing his season-long loan deal from Napoli in September.
Osimhen has registered 28 goals and provided five assists in 32 competitive matches for Galatasaray.
