Super Eagles midfielder Raphael Onyedika has returned for Club Brugge, making the lineup in their UEFA Champions League last-16 first leg which they lost 3-1 to Aston Villa.
Leon Bailey opening the scoring early for Villa just two minutes and 15 seconds into the game before Maxim de Cuyper briefly equalised for the home side.
However, late goals from an own goal by Brandon Mechele and a Marco Asensio penalty secured the day for Villa.
Onyedika featured in the game after a period of injury and a struggle to regain fitness.
The midfielder scored his first UEFA Champions League goal against Manchester City in the group stage and is expected to play a significant role in Brugge 's fight when they encounter Villa in the second leg of their tie scheduled for Wednesday, March 12.
