Crystal Palace winger Michael Olise has reportedly declined an invitation to represent the Dessert Foxes of Algeria at the international level.
According to reports, the 21-year-old has said no to officials from the Algerian FA who approached him in their bid to convince him to switch nationalities.
Olise was born in England to a Nigerian father and a French-Algerian mother.
He is eligible to represent France, Algeria, England or Nigeria internationally.
From the Nigerian perspective, this comes as good news as the ex-Reading star remains eligible for the Super Eagles.
Oliseh has represented France at the U-18, and U-21 levels.
He spent his early days at the Arsenal, Chelsea, and Manchester City youth teams before signing his first professional contract with Reading in July 2019.
Olise joined Crystal Palace on a five-year deal in 2021 after the club activated his £8.37 million release clause.
