The Super Eagles’ international friendly against arch-rivals, the Black Stars of Ghana, will take place in England, according to reports.

The three-time African champions are scheduled to face Russia and their West African counterparts during the June international window.

According to SCORENigeria, the Super Eagles will take on Russia in Moscow on Friday, June 6, before flying to London to face the Black Stars.

However, the exact date and venue for the match are yet to be confirmed.

Nigeria defeated Ghana 2-1 in their last friendly encounter in June 2024, courtesy of goals from Cyriel Dessers and Ademola Lookman.

The friendly serves as part of the Super Eagles’ preparations for their upcoming FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Rwanda and South Africa in September.

Nigeria will host Rwanda at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium in Uyo before traveling to South Africa for another crucial encounter.
