Spanish La Liga giants Barcelona have reportedly begun talks with Ademola Lookman over a potential move for the Atalanta stalwart this summer.
According to Spanish outlet Fichajes, the Catalan club has contacted Lookman’s representatives to express their interest in the Nigerian international.
The report indicates that Barcelona manager Hansi Flick sees the 27-year-old as a valuable addition to his attacking options.
Lookman has been in explosive form since joining La Dea in the summer of 2022.
The Super Eagles star guided Atalanta to their first-ever Europa League title last season with a historic hat-trick in the final against Bayer Leverkusen.
The former Leicester City loanee has maintained his brilliant form this season, netting 18 goals and providing seven assists in 32 competitive games for Gian Piero Gasperini’s side.
After joining Atalanta in a deal worth €9.4 million (£7.9 million) from RB Leipzig, Lookman’s market value has skyrocketed to €65 million (£54.2 million).
The reigning African Footballer of the Year has also attracted strong interest from multiple Premier League clubs.
