Renowned Arise TV broadcaster Rufai Oseni has mocked the appointment of German tactician Bruno Labbadia as the new head coach of the Super Eagles.

The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) on Tuesday, August 27, announced the 58-year-old former Wolfsburg and Bayer Leverkusen manager as the new gaffer for the three-time African champions.

Labbadia will succeed Finidi George who resigned from the role 46 days after his substantive appointment following the Super Eagles abysmal performance in the World Cup qualifiers against South Africa and Benin Republic.

Following Finidi's exit, the NFF embarked on a journey of pursuing a high-profile manager to succeed the former international with names like Herve Renard, Steve Mc Claren and Swedish coach, Janne Anderson among the candidates who were under consideration.

In a surprise move, the NFF ultimately settled on Labbadia, who has no national team experience.

Speaking on the appointment of the former Bayern Munich striker, Rufai stated that Labbadia has no pedigree because he has been sacked in most of his coaching jobs.

"See, Mr. Labbadia if you do not win your next match in 12 days maybe we may be here singing... The man doesn't have pedigree. They sacked him in most of his jobs," he stated on Arise TV's morning show.
