Premier League title contenders Arsenal have joined the race to sign Nigeria's Victor Osimhen this January.

According to reports, the Gunners are exploring the chances of signing the 26-year-old, who is currently on loan at Galatasaray.

Transfer expert Pete O’Rourke reports that Mikel Arteta's side wants to sign the Super Eagles striker to bolster their attacking options following injuries to Gabriel Jesus and Bukayo Saka.

Osimhen’s release clause will drop to €75m next summer, but a move in January would cost his suitors around €90m, as per RAI Sport.

Amid the uncertainties surrounding his future, Osimhen has insisted that he wants to see out his season-long loan spell at Galatasaray.

The former Lille striker recently declined a move to Manchester United in a swap deal involving out-of-favor forward Marcus Rashford.

Osimhen has registered 14 goals and six assists in 16 games across all competitions for Galatasaray since joining the club in September.
