The Super Eagles of Nigeria have moved up three places in the latest FIFA rankings for national teams.
The three-time African champions moved from 39th to 36th position in the latest ranking released by FIFA on Thursday, October 24.
Nigeria also moved from 6th to 4th position on the African continent overtaking 2023 AFCON winners Ivory Coast.
The Super Eagles were involved in a single game since the last ranking, beating Libya 1-0 in the 2025 African Cup of Nations qualifiers at home in Uyo.
North African giants Morocco maintained their number one position on the continent, followed by Senegal and Egypt in second and third place, respectively.
World champions Argentina remain the best-ranked team globally, with France and Spain in second and third positions, respectively.
The Three Lions of England and Brazil complete the top five best-ranked teams in the world.
