Fenerbahce defender Bright Osayi-Samuel is confident in his team's ability to overturn the two-goal deficit in the second leg of their Round of 16 Europa League clash.
Rangers will host Jose Mourinho's Fenerbahce side at Ibrox Stadium later today (Thursday, March 13), as the Yellow Canaries look to erase the two-goal deficit from the first leg.
Fenerbahce will need to win by a three-goal margin to secure their place in the last eight.
Osayi-Samuel, who was suspended for the first leg, believes his side must maintain possession and nullify Rangers' counterattacks to boost their chances of qualification.
“As a team, we are aware of how important tomorrow night’s match is. When we analyzed the first game, we created a lot of chances, and if we repeat that tomorrow night—if we create the same chances again—we can succeed,” he was quoted as saying on the club’s official website.
“Of course, we know that Rangers will come at us with counterattacks; we know that this is how they will play. So we have to have the ball and not lose it. That way, we give ourselves a chance to win.”
