Fulham boss Marco Silva has praised Nigerian international Alex Iwobi ahead of their Premier League clash against Brighton and Hove Albion.

The Cottagers will welcome Brighton to Craven Cottage later today (Thursday, December 5) in a matchday 14 encounter.

Iwobi has been in fine form in the Premier League this season, scoring three goals and providing three assists in 13 appearances.

The 28-year-old assisted Tom Cairney for Fulham's equalizer against Tottenham Hotspur last weekend.

Speaking ahead of the Brighton encounter, Silva commended Iwobi's positive energy.

“I call him a happy boy. When you are in a happy place, when you are so positive and people around you are positive, I think good things will come to you,” Silva told reporters.

“You never see him panic at any moment of the game. He is going to be a top confidence player.”
