Super Falcons striker Asisat Oshoala was on target for Bay FC in their thrilling friendly encounter against European champions Barcelona Femini on Tuesday, August 27.

The NWFL side suffered a 5-2 defeat to the Catalan giants at the PayPal Park in San Jose, California with Oshoala scoring one of the consolation goals against his former side.

The game was part of Bay FC's preparation towards the play-offs as the new NWFL season resumes.

Oshoala scored the first goal of the game, giving Bay FC the lead early in the 17th minute after intercepting a pass from the Barcelona goalkeeper near the penalty area.

Despite giving her side the lead, Barcelona came from behind twice to snatch a convincing 5-2 win against Bay FC.

After four successful seasons at Barcelona, Oshoala joined Bay FC in February this year.

The reigning African Women's Footballer of the Year scored over 100 goals for the Blaugranas.
