Bayer Leverkusen striker Victor Boniface has revealed the shuttle bus provided by Libyan authorities to transport the Super Eagles following their 16-hour airport ordeal.

The Super Eagles' chartered flight was originally scheduled to land in Benghazi ahead of their African Cup of Nations qualifiers return encounter against Libya but was rerouted to Al Albaq, where the team has been stranded for over 16 hours.

The Libyan federation did not send a delegation to meet the team or arrange for a shuttle to convey the players to their hotel, which is about a three-hour drive.

In a tweeted video, Super Eagles striker Victor Boniface showed an old urvan vehicle provided by the local authorities to convey the players to the team hotel.

"See Iskaba bus wey them bring come yesterday. Nobody enter ooo," the 23-year-old wrote in Pidgin.

The Super Eagles are scheduled to play Libya on Tuesday, October 15, in the return encounter of the 2025 African Cup of Nations qualifiers.

The three-time African champions defeated the Mediterranean Knights 1-0 in the first leg on Friday, October 11, courtesy of Dele-Bashiru's strike in the 87th minute.
