Head coach of Uganda Paul Put has sent a fair warning to the Super Eagles of Nigeria following the completion of the AFCON 2025 draw on Monday, January 27.

The Cranes will face the three-time African champions, the Carthage Eagles of Tunisia, and the Taifa Stars of Tanzania in Group C.

Sharing his thoughts on the draw, the Belgian tactician acknowledged the pedigree of Nigeria and Tunisia while warning of the threat Tanzania can pose.

He, however, stated that his team will be ready for these encounters.

“There are no easy games in Africa. We are going to face Nigeria, the last edition’s finalists, and Tunisia, a team that consistently reaches the latter stages of this tournament,” he said after the draw ceremony.

“Tanzania adds the derby element, which is always intense. However, we must believe in ourselves.”
