Super Eagles head coach Eric Chelle is set to announce his final 23-man squad for the upcoming FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Rwanda and Zimbabwe.

Nigeria will resume their World Cup qualifying campaign with a match against Rwanda on Friday, March 21, at the Amahoro Stadium in Kigali, before returning home to face Zimbabwe four days later.

Chelle initially released a provisional 39-man squad for the two encounters and is expected to trim the squad to 23 players, according to reports.

It is anticipated that the final squad, which may feature some surprise inclusions, will be unveiled by Tuesday, March 11.

The Super Eagles will open their training camp on Sunday, March 16, in preparation for the crucial match against Rwanda.

The team is expected to travel directly to Kigali for their clash with the Amanuvi.

With just three points from four qualifying matches, the Super Eagles cannot afford to drop any more points if they hope to keep their dream of qualifying for the 2026 World Cup alive.
