Bayer Leverkusen striker Victor Boniface has opened up about the poor treatment the Super Eagles team has been subjected to upon their arrival in Libya for the African Cup of Nations qualifiers.
According to widespread reports, the team's chartered flight was diverted to a different location as it was approaching Benghazi Airport for landing. The Libyan federation also failed to send any delegation to meet the team or arrange for a shuttle to convey the players to their hotel, which is about a three-hour drive.
Reacting to the inhumane treatment on his X handle, Super Eagles striker Victor Boniface wrote: “Been at the airport for almost 13 hours, no food, no Wi-Fi, nowhere to sleep. Africa, we can do better," tagging CAF's handle.
