Political and social commentator Isaac Fayose has challenged the political class to appoint popular social media critic Vincent Martins Otse, widely known as Verydarkman (VDM), as the chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

He made this statement in a video on his Instagram page while highlighting the devastating impact of corruption on the country.

According to Fayose, if VDM were appointed as the chairman of the electoral body, many current political officeholders would not retain their positions.

"Every sector in Nigeria is corrupt. They have bastardized everything. Even King now dey America, inside jail, King for our country, the whole King, leaders. Pastor dey America, Naija pastor, they jail for fraud," he said.

"Pastor o, spiritual leader, you dey see every sector, judiciary, conflicting judgments, we go hear judgment on Monday, the one way we go hear on Friday, he go fear you. Any politician were sure of himself, make we put VeryDarkMan as our next INEC chairman for the next election."

"You see all the politicians you see, none of them will come back another term. If you are sure of yourself politician, let us put VeryDarkMan as the next chairman. Make we come see who will come back. Who will not come back? God will heal our country."

VDM, who has gained popularity for holding individuals and organizations accountable, reacted in the comment section with the popular phrase "Ghen ghen ghen."
