The future of Victor Osimhen has taken a new twist as the summer transfer window edges closer.
Recent reports indicate that Manchester United have stepped up their chase for the signature of the 26-year-old, who is currently on loan at Galatasaray.
The Red Devils have taken the lead ahead of Paris Saint-Germain and Juventus, who are also pushing for the signing of the Nigerian international.
Osimhen has been in remarkable form since joining Galatasaray in early September, scoring 17 goals in 24 appearances for the club across all competitions.
The former African Footballer of the Year has a release clause which now stands at £65 million.
Turkish journalist Yagiz Sabuncuoglu disclosed that both Manchester United and PSG have reached a verbal agreement.
“PSG and Manchester United made their verbal offer to the player’s side regarding the salary and contract period. Because both clubs agreed to pay Napoli the release fee, it is very difficult for Galatasaray to compete with these two clubs. He is probably leaving at the end of the season,” he added.
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Juventus Director Cristiano Giuntoli and his team are simultaneously working on a move for Osimhen, who is currently out on loan at Galatasaray from Napoli.
