Human rights lawyer, Deji Adeyanju, has said Nasir El-rufai jailed critics when he was the governor of Kaduna State.
This was as he slammed the former governor, saying he's now acting like an activist because he's no longer in power.
"El-rufai jailed critics in Kaduna as governor but now doing emergency activism. Once they enter government, they become monsters and their brain is automatically restored as soon as they get out of power," Adeyanju shared on X.
Adeyanju's words align with a statement issued about El-rufai by the former Senator representing Kaduna Central Shehu Sani.
Sani said El-rufai "practised tyranny and unleashed evil when in power in Kaduna. Out of power, he is sanctimoniously preaching democracy to the country he helped to wreck, plundered and persecuted."
Sani also stated that El-rufai who left a heap of garbage in Kaduna is now preaching hygiene to a country that has not forgotten the history of his dirt.
"The man who looted Kaduna State and piled up debt for our people, used religion to divide the people of the state, enriched and shared lands with friends and family members, disobeyed court orders, persecuted journalists, arrested people for criticising him on social media, monetised banditry is now telling others how to govern," he added.
