Leicester City manager Ruud van Nistelrooy has provided a positive update on Wilfred Ndidi's injury.
The former Manchester United assistant manager has disclosed that Ndidi will return to full training next week.
The Nigerian midfielder sustained an injury during Leicester City's Premier League encounter against Brighton and Hove Albion on December 28, 2024.
The 28-year-old was withdrawn in the 58th minute as the game ended in a 2-2 draw.
Ndidi has not featured for the Foxes since but has been involved in light training with his teammates.
“Wilf is making good progress," the Dutchman was quoted by the club’s official website.
“He’s partially involved in team training. This week we’re looking to bring him back into full team training and over the course of next week.”
Ndidi registered four assists in 15 appearances prior to his injury last month.
