Member of the House of Representatives representing Ikenne/Sagamu/Remo North Federal Constituency, Rt. Hon. Oriyomi Adewunmi Onanuga, also known as Ijaya is dead.
Onanuga, also the Deputy Chief Whip of the House, died after a brief illness. She served in that role since 2023.

Born on December 2, 1965, in Hammersmith, London, to Nigerian parents, she was a politician and entrepreneur.
She contested and won a seat in the House of Representatives under the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in 2019. She also served as the Chairperson of the House Committee on Women Affairs and Social Development.
Onanuga championed policies to empower women & advance social welfare during her tenure as Chairperson of the House C’ttee on Women Affairs & Social Development in the 9th Assembly.
