The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) is set to unveil Eric Chelle as the new head coach of the Super Eagles today (Monday, January 13).

The long hunt for the next head coach of the senior men's national team ended last week after the NFF announced the Malian as the new gaffer for the three-time African champions.

The NFF’s Technical and Development Sub-Committee recommended Chelle for the vacant role during its meeting on January 2, 2025, in Abuja.

This recommendation was subsequently approved by the NFF Executive Committee on January 7, 2025.

Chelle's unveiling will take place at the Media Conference Room of the MKO Abiola National Stadium at 11 am local time.

The NFF will also announce the backroom staff or assistants of the former Malian coach at the unveiling.

Chelle has managed clubs such as GS Consolat, FC Martigues, Boulogne, and MC Oran.
