Italian agent Alessandro Barrison has tipped Nigerian international Ademola Lookman to secure a big move to a top European club next summer.

Lookman, 26, has been in remarkable form since joining Atalanta from RB Leipzig in the summer of 2022 for a fee around the region of €9.35m, including bonuses.

The Super Eagle was Atalanta’s standout performer last season, scoring 17 goals and providing 10 assists for Gian Piero Gasperini’s side.

Lookman starred for Atalanta in the Europa League final, scoring a historic goal against Bayer Leverkusen to guide the Serie A outfit to their first-ever European title.

His remarkable form has not gone unnoticed as he has drawn interest from several top clubs in Europe, including Juventus, Manchester United, and Liverpool.

Barrison, who is the agent of Italian-born Nigerian defender Caleb Okoli, believes the former Leicester City loanee will be signed by a top European club at the end of the season.

“I love him. I had the chance to meet him thanks to Okoli, and I can say that he is a very humble guy, and next year he will be the winning card of the Atalanta market,” he told OKC.

“Not that the Goddess is any less, but I think that next year he could go and play for some big European team.”

Lookman was ranked the 14th best player at the recently held Ballon d'Or ceremony and remains an overwhelming favourite to win the African Footballer of the Year award at the upcoming CAF awards in Marrakech, Morocco next month.
