Nigeria are up against Rwanda in their second group game of the 2025 African Cup of Nations qualifiers.
The Wasps of Rwanda are hosting the Super Eagles at the Amahoro National Stadium in Kigali City.
The 2023 AFCON finalists come into the game on the back of an impressive 3-0 victory over Benin Republic in their qualifier opener at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium in Uyo.
Nigeria will be looking to continue their impressive start to the AFCON qualifiers with another victory against Rwanda.
On the bench for the Super Eagles is the team’s sporting director, Austin Eguavoen, who has been tasked by the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) to take charge of the team for the two qualifiers.
Eguavoen started with a 3-4-3 formation, with Nwabali in goal and a back three of William Troost-Ekong, Calvin Bassey, and Semi Ajayi.
Nottingham Forest full-back Ola Aina and Bruno Onyemaechi have been deployed as wing-backs.
Wilfred Ndidi and Dele-Bashiru are operating in central midfield.
Bayer Leverkusen’s Victor Boniface has been handed another starting role in attack ahead of Victor Osimhen and Taiwo Awoniyi.
The 23-year-old is flanked by Atalanta’s Ademola Lookman on the left side of attack and Samuel Chukwueze on the right.
