A Twitter user, @Strange_PsyD has slammed Opera News for breach of image rights.
According to the lady, Opera News unlawfully used her picture to author an article without her consent.
The article was titled: "This is what is likely to happen if Female corpers are permitted to wear skirts in place (See Photos)."
She took to Twitter completely disappointed with the content of the article as well as the unauthorised photo illegally obtained.
She tweeted: "OK, this is definitely where I draw the line. @opera please, what kind of writers do you have? Whoever wrote this article is a complete idiot. Tf does this even mean? I'm sorry, whoever gave y'all the right to publish my photo? What kind of stupid article is this?"

If you want to counter a campaign, do it intelligently. Don't be out there spewing balderdash for your readers. Tf is wrong with y'all? Painting me in a bad light? Using me as a negative example? Are you fucking drunk?

Y'all noticed the writer did clearly state that Nigerians are "bound" to misuse opportunities and corrupt practices? As in, all of us, home & abroad. Is this writer even Nigerian? Or just silly?

Responding, Twitter users advised her to sue the media platform

Lion Heart disagreed
But you brought it to a public domain first!!! If you can't take the backlash, stop sharing photos in public domains

Rapulu asked Opera News to do the needful
This is so not right. @opera please retract this post with an apology to @Strange_PsyD immediately
— Rapulu oramali (@RapuluOramali) January 19, 2020

"I know they cross-check contents before they are published, so who freaking approved this. Is this the standard of writing articles in Nigeria?" Kachi asked.
That is exactly why I am sooo triggered.
— ????????Dr. Strange???????? (@Strange_PsyD) January 19, 2020
The idiot who wrote it is not exactly my problem. The fact that they thought it wise to actually publish?? Do they think the owner of the picture is a fucking buffoon??
After waiting for 24 hours without any apology or retraction, Strange moved on to sue the news platform.
She said: "Been over 24hours I made this tweet asking @opera @OperaNewsHub @OperaHubSupport to take down my photo, I even sent the "Direct Message" they requested, yet, nothing. Meanwhile, other platforms have joined in making the stupid post. It's over to the Lawyers from here on out. "
Jeffre volunteered a lawyer
If you need a fresh lawyer that can handle this case...I'd hit him up for you.

Do they not realize the Legal implications of using an image without consent?
Plus what kind of journalism is this? Is @opera a news outlet or a religious institution seeing the future & sh*t? ???? https://t.co/6eYlanTRsY
