The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has warned men of the consequences of engaging in fraudulent activities just to be able to measure up to a woman's desire.
This was after an X user, @DiianaD_, revealed the situation guys that don't engage in fraud find themselves in concerning romantic relationships.
@DiianaD_ wrote, "Lately guys who aren’t into fraudulent act can’t really keep a relationship going because some women entitlement are very high."
Reacting, the EFCC stated that when caught and made to face the punishment for fraud, the women fraudulent guys claim they did it for won't be around to face it with them.
"Remember, if you can do the crime because of women's entitlements, be ready to also do the time without their presence," the anti-graft agency said.
Meanwhile, the EFCC has announced the conviction and sentencing of 29 internet fraudsters to various jail terms.
The fraudsters were sentenced by Justices A.N. Erhabor and W. I. Aziegbemhin of Edo State High Courts, sitting in Benin City.
The convicts are: Edeyibo Rukewe Hope, Igbafe David, Emakhu Bonfrey, Genesis Ndujifor, Okolosie Godstime, Chukwu David, Ebuka Emmanuel, Akhere Akahomhen, Odiniru Emeka Vet, Obiora Mike Kelvin, Stephen Eghosa, Osagioduwa Samuel Aivihenyor, Lucky Ekhator, Ekechukwu Chima Stanley, Lucky Moses, David Odiniru, Christopher Alex, Orovirie Sunny, Abraham Ifeanyi and Aisosa Vincent.
Others are: Agbede Shola Harrison, Endurance Ebalukpe, Igbiniken Osarvmwense, Okonoboh Senator Odiegie, Joseph Imhangbegbe, Orion Aigbona, Godstime Adebor, Ambrose Otsemeuno and Mattew Obayuywana
In a statement, the EFCC said they were prosecuted on separate one-count charge, bordering on obtaining by false pretence, advance fee fraud, retention of proceeds of crime and possession of fraudulent documents.
