The Chief Executive Officer of the Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NNPC), Mele Kyari, has revealed that they have stopped importing refined petroleum products into the country.
Speaking at an event in Lagos State, Kyari mentioned that the NNPC currently sources its fuel supply exclusively from domestic refineries, including the Dangote Refinery.
According to him, “Today, NNPC does not import any product; we are taking only from domestic refineries.”
Nigerians on social media have shared their views on NNPC’s recent statement.
hamiltonawa: Whether you like import directly from heaven our issue is will the price come down if not we don’t even care where you buy from.

ayinkejt: It is even a big shame to nnpc to say "we have stop imports" when we have unserviceable refineries from a country that have crude oil.
