Mikel Obi's recent visit to Real Madrid has sparked outrage among some fans, who are still upset over his controversial comments about the club before the UEFA Champions League final last month.

The former Super Eagles star had said it was unfair for players like Toni Kroos, Dani Carvajal, Luka Modric, and Nacho Fernandez to win five UCL titles, implying they weren't the best in their positions.

He even declared his support for Borussia Dortmund, stating they deserved the title more than Real Madrid.

Fans have now expressed their displeasure on social media, criticizing Mikel's visit to Valdebebas.

Abdullah Been Adam wrote, "Is he not the same Obi who's always criticizing Real Madrid players and down grade their level???!!!!!. Why can't him visit Barca who are so dear to him according to what he is always saying??!!!!. We don't appreciate his visit at all, because of his lack of respect to our players, like Modric, Carvajal and Kroos."

Olakunle Omoboriola added, "He’s looking for relevance but love to spill nonsense from his mouth, a terrible player and only thing he know how to do best now is to attack Cristiano Ronaldo so as to stay relevance in world football"

George Nder Apya mocked Mikel's playing career, saying, "He scored just one goal in 185 appearances for Chelsea, tell him to keep quiet."

Eld Enekwechi Akc also commented, "After all his noise, he went to tap blessings from the best club in the world."

Mikel Obi was spotted taking photos with Carlo Ancelotti, Thibaut Courtois, Luka Modric, and Raul Gonzalez during his visit to Real Madrid.

The former midfielder worked with Ancelotti and Courtois at different times at Stamford Bridge.
