The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) is reportedly in talks with new Chelsea defender Tosin Adarabioyo to consider committing his international future to Nigeria.

The 26-year-old, who has featured for England at youth levels, is yet to make a senior appearance for the Three Lions, making him eligible to play for Nigeria under FIFA regulations.

According to reports, Adarabioyo is eyeing a potential call-up to the Three Lions following his move to Chelsea from Fulham this summer as a free agent.

London World has disclosed that the NFF is attempting to persuade the former Manchester City defender to reconsider his decision, with a high-ranking NFF member having already spoken to the player.

Reports from OwnGoalNigeria also indicate that former Super Eagles head coach José Peseiro approached the player ahead of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations in Cote d'Ivoire, but the attempt proved futile.

Despite Peseiro's departure, the NFF is continuing his initial efforts to persuade the player, believing he could be a crucial addition to the team in the future.
