A throwback video of how former Nigeria's military Head of State, between 1993 and 1998, Sani Abacha dealt with strike from labour unions when he was in power has gone viral.
According to some Nigerians, Sani Abacha, who was known to be a "no-nonsense" leader during his regime would not have smiled at the recent strikes by the NLC, TUC and ASUU if he were in power today.
In the video that had gone viral, Sani Abacha was seen given strong words of caution to the labour unions who had intended to go on strike.
Sani stated: "We have come to the point where the situation can no longer be tolerated. It is in the overall national interest that these unpatriotic acts being perpetuated by the leadership of both unions be dealt."
