Former Super Eagles head coach José Peseiro played to a draw on his debut for Egyptian giants Zamalek.

The 64-year-old was officially appointed head coach of the White Knights on Friday, February 14.

Zamalek had to settle for a draw as Petrojet held Peseiro's side to a 1-1 draw at the Al-Salam Stadium on Sunday, February 16.

Mostafa El Gamal gave Zamalek the lead in the 94th minute of stoppage time before Petrojet stunned them with an equalizer a minute later.

Zamalek are now three points behind leaders Al Ahly on the Egyptian league log.

The White Knights will travel away to take on Al Ahly in their next encounter.
