The Super Falcons will take on Japan in their final group game at the ongoing Paris Olympics at Stade de la Beaujoire later today (Wednesday, July 31).
Randy Waldrum's side will be hoping to bounce back to winning ways after losing to Brazil and Spain in their first two encounters.
Currently languishing at the bottom of the group, the nine-time African champions will need a convincing victory to stand the chance of qualifying to the next round of the competition as one of the best third place teams.
Let's look how coach Randy Waldrum will set up his team for this crucial clash against the Japanese.
Goalkeeper:
Chiamaka Nnadozie will undoubtedly start in post for the Super Falcons. The PSG goalkeeper has been impressive for the team despite the defeat in the first two games.
Defenders
Randy Waldrum is likely to maintain the back four that started the game against Spain in the last encounter. Chidinma Okeke, Tosin Demehin, Osinachi Ohale, and Michelle Alozie will make up the defense for the Falcons.
Midfielders
Toni Payne is expected to start in the centre of the pitch alongside Christy Ucheibe and Deborah Abiodun.
Forward
Asisat Oshoala, who missed the first game against Brazil put up a decent performance against Spain in the second game. The Bay Arena striker is likely to get the nod upfront together with Rasheedat Ajibade and Esther Okoronkwo.
