The Federal Government has unveiled the newly designed naira notes to the public.

The redesigned notes were unveiled at the Federal Executive Council meeting presided over by President Muhammadu Buhari.

Godwin Emefiele, the Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria warned Nigerians against hoarding the old notes while stressing that there won't be a turning back on the January 31, 2023 deadline to completely render the old notes useless.

The redesigned notes are in denominations of N1000, N500 and N200.
