A video showing the moment military personnel apprehended some supporters allegedly members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has surfaced on social media.

The video has sparked mixed reactions since it was shared over an hour ago.

An X user with the handle @theSerahIbrahim shared the video with the caption, "APC thugs caught with weapons in Oredo Ward 3, Benin, Edo State because men mount".

The commentary accompanying the video claimed that the individuals who were arrested were found with guns.

They have since been taken into custody by security agencies.

As Governor Godwin Obaseki completes his 8-year tenure, residents of Edo State will soon elect a new governor.
