The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has announced the venue to host the 2024 African football awards.
For the third consecutive year, Morocco will host the CAF awards gala in the city of Marrakech.
This affirms Morocco's growing influence in Africa and, by extension, the world at large.
The North African country was recently announced as the host for the CAF Women's Champions League and is set to host the next edition of the African Cup of Nations in December 2025.
Morocco will also be co-hosting the 2030 FIFA World Cup with Spain, Portugal, Argentina, Uruguay, and Paraguay.
The 2024 edition of the CAF awards will take place on December 16, 2024.
Among the players in the race to win the prestigious award include Nigeria's Ademola Lookman and Victor Boniface, Guinea's Serhou Guirassy, and Morocco's Brahim Diaz.
Nigeria's Victor Osimhen is the reigning African Footballer of the Year.
