'Man City 51 and Liverpool 49' — Arsenal thrash Mourinho’s early season prediction as season concludes

Arsenal has defied José Mourinho's predictions about the Premier League title race this season.

The Gunners currently lead the Premier League table with 83 points, just one point ahead of defending champions Manchester City, who have a game in hand.

Liverpool trails behind in third place with 78 points, having fallen out of the title race due to recent poor results.

Earlier in the season, during an episode of theobionepodcast with Mikel Obi, Mourinho gave Manchester City a 51 percent chance and Liverpool a 49 percent chance of winning the title. However, he emphatically ruled out Arsenal's chances.

But with only three matches remaining, Mikel Arteta's team is poised to secure at least a second-place finish for the second consecutive season. And any slip-up from Manchester City could see Arsenal clinch their first Premier League title in two decades.
