Dr. Suwaiba Said Ahmad is a distinguished Nigerian educationist, gender advocate, and consultant. Born on February 13, 1981, in Jigawa State, Nigeria, she has dedicated her career to improving educational standards and promoting gender equality.
Dr. Ahmad holds a Ph.D. in Science Education from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, a Master of Education in Curriculum Studies from Bayero University, Kano, and a Bachelor of Science Education in Chemistry from Bayero University, Kano2
Before her recent appointment as Nigeria's Minister of State for Education by President Bola Tinubu on October 23, 2024, Dr. Ahmad served as a lecturer and Director of the Centre for Gender Studies at Bayero University, Kano.
She has also been involved in various consultancy projects, including working with the British Council and the Partnership for Learning for All in Nigeria Education (PLANE).
