Reekado Banks, whose real name is Ayoleyi Hanniel Solomon, was born on December 6, 1993, in Lagos, Nigeria.

He is the youngest of six children in a family where both parents are pastors. His father is also a singer, and his mother is a caterer.

Growing up in a strict, religious household, Reekado completed his secondary education at the age of 14.

Reekado attended the University of Lagos, where he graduated with a degree in History and Strategic Studies in 2014.

The young man began his music career in 2008, initially recording songs under the stage name "Spicy". His career took off when his brother submitted some of his songs to an online talent search organized by Mavin Records.

He was signed to the label in 2014 and released his first single, "Turn It Up," featuring Tiwa Savage.

Reekado gained further recognition with his participation in the hit song "Dorobucci" alongside other Mavin artistes. He left Mavin Records in 2018 to start his own label, Banks Music.

Reekado Banks is currently in a relationship with his girlfriend, and they recently welcomed their first child together.

The couple shared the joyous news on social media, with Reekado expressing his gratitude for the blessing of fatherhood
