Olufemi Oladapo Soneye is a seasoned journalist and the Chief Corporate Communications Officer at the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL). He was appointed to this role in October 2023.

Soneye has extensive experience in journalism, having worked full-time and as a freelancer for some of the world's most respected publications in Nigeria, Australia, and the United States.

In his current role at NNPCL, Soneye is responsible for leading the Corporate Communications team, driving brand penetration, and managing strategic communications initiatives and stakeholder relationships.

He is a member of several reputable professional bodies, including the Nigerian Union of Journalists, the National Association of Black Journalists, the Society of Professional Journalists, and the Guild of Corporate Online Media Publishers.

Before joining NNPCL, Soneye served as the President of the Nigerian Media Practitioners in Washington, D.C., showcasing his leadership and expertise in the field of media and communications.
