Monalisa Chinda is a Nigerian actress, film producer, humanitarian and media personality. Born on 13 September 1974 in Port Harcourt, River State, South-south region of Nigeria to Ikwerre parents.
Monalisa Chinda began her journey into acting while still in primary school. She furthered her passion for the arts by studying Theatre Arts at the University of Port Harcourt, where she honed her acting skills and prepared for a career in the entertainment industry.
Monalisa's acting career took off in 1996 with her debut movie "Pregnant Virgin." However, it was her role in the television soap opera "Heaven’s Gate" that brought her widespread recognition and established her as a household name in Nigeria. She has since featured in numerous Nollywood films, including "Kiss and Tell," "Keeping My Man," and "Torn," among others.
Her talent and versatility have earned her several awards and nominations, solidifying her status as one of Nollywood's leading actresses.
