Mohammed Badaru Abubakar is a prominent Nigerian politician and industrialist, born on September 19, 1962, in Babura, Jigawa State. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Accounting from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, and is an alumnus of the National Institute of Policy and Strategic Studies (NIPSS) in Kuru.
He served as the Governor of Jigawa State from 2015 to 2023, where he was noted for his efforts in improving infrastructure and governance. In August 2023, he was appointed as the Minister of Defence under President Bola Tinubu, a role that underscores his influence and experience in public service.
