Dr. Claudiana Ibijoke Sanwo-Olu, born on January 8, 1967, is the First Lady of Lagos State, Nigeria, and the wife of Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu. She is a distinguished medical practitioner with a strong educational background, holding an MBBS from the University of Lagos, as well as postgraduate diplomas in Hospital and Health Management and Anesthesia. Additionally, she has a master's degree in Public Health and an MBA¹.
Before becoming the First Lady, Dr. Ibijoke Sanwo-Olu had a notable career in the Lagos State health sector, where she served for 25 years. She rose through the ranks to become the Chief Medical Director and Chief Executive Officer at Harvey Road Comprehensive Health Centre in Yaba, and later at the General Hospital in Somolu.
As First Lady, she is actively involved in various advocacy and philanthropic activities, particularly focusing on women's and children's health and welfare.
Dr. Ibijoke Sanwo-Olu is also the Chairman of the Committee of Wives of Lagos State Officials (COWLSO), where she promotes initiatives aimed at enriching communities and supporting women in leadership roles.
